Tactical First Aid for Police
About this seminar
This intensive three-day course focuses on treating trauma patients in hostile or high-risk environments, where conventional pre-hospital approaches may need to be adapted.
Key topics include:
- Personal safety and priorities in high-risk incidents
- Initial casualty assessment and recognition of life-threatening injuries
- Control of severe bleeding
- Basic airway management and hypothermia prevention
- Casualty movement and evacuation
- Team communication and handover to emergency medical services
Lectures are combined with practical skill stations and realistic tactical simulations. Participants will develop the knowledge and confidence needed to provide effective initial care in demanding operational situations.
Target group
Serving police officers who may be first on scene at incidents involving serious injury, particularly those working in patrol, public-order or protective duties.
Requirements
No previous tactical medical training or medical qualification is required. Participants need sufficient English to follow safety instructions, contribute to discussions and take an active part in practical exercises.
